Editorial policy
How entries are researched, written, reviewed and corrected.
Sources
Entries rely on peer-reviewed literature indexed in PubMed, regulatory documents from the FDA and other agencies, trial registries, and the WADA Prohibited List. Each compound page links to its PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov results so readers can check the underlying literature. Named references are listed only when we have verified them.
Evidence labels
Every compound carries an evidence label: preclinical (animal and cell studies), early clinical, late-stage clinical, or approved drug. Animal and cell findings are labelled as such in the text and are never presented as effects in people.
Calculated values
Formulas and masses are computed from each sequence by the same code that powers the sequence analyzer, and checked against published values for reference compounds. For lipidated drugs and non-peptides, published reference values are used instead.
Review and updates
Pages are reviewed at least every six months, and the regulatory tracker monthly. The review date appears at the top of each page.
Corrections
Send corrections with a source to editor@peptidewiki.net. Substantive corrections are noted on the page.
Independence of content
Commercial relationships (see the disclosure) do not change entry content. Entries do not rank or review vendors.
